Homemade Sausage Gravy is perfect over hot buttermilk biscuits for a classic Southern breakfast or brunch.
How To Make Sausage Gravy:
Ingredients:
- Bulk breakfast sausage
- Flour
- Milk
- Salt
- Black Pepper
Equipment:
- Cast iron or stainless steel skillet
- Whisk
- Measuring cup
Directions:
- Cook the sausage patties and set aside
- Whisk the flour into the grease in the skillet
- Cook for 2-3 minutes
- Add the milk whisking well
- Cook the gravy until thickened
- Add crumbled sausage to gravy
- Season to taste with salt and pepper

- Season with salt and pepper to taste
- Serve over buttermilk biscuits
