Sauteed Corn with Onions and Peppers is the perfect side dish for when you want something a little different but don't have a lot of time.
Recipes like this one are staples in my kitchen. Recipes that I can easily substitute ingredients and still have a delicious meal that won't take very long to make.
I normally use frozen corn to make this but this time I only had canned. I also used some frozen onion and pepper blend but you can always use fresh onion and bell pepper.
How to Make Sauteed Corn with Onions and Peppers
Ingredients:
- Frozen or canned corn
- Sliced onion and bell pepper
- Butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic
Equipment:
- Skillet
- Knife
- Spoon or spatula
- Can opener if using canned corn
- Measuring cup
Directions:
- Melt the butter in a large skillet
- Add the onions and peppers and cook for 3 minutes or until beginning to soften
- Add garlic and cook for another minute or two
- Opened and drain the corn if using canned
- Add the corn to the skillet and cook for another five minutes or until heated through
- Season to taste with salt and pepper

Ingredients:
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 cup sliced onions and peppers fresh or frozen
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic, approximately 3 cloves
- 3 cups corn, frozen or well drained canned
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper to taste

- Melt the butter in a large skillet over moderate heat
- Add the onions and peppers and cook for 2-3 minutes or until starting to soften
- Add the garlic and cook for another 2 minutes or so
- Add the corn to the vegetables and cook for 5-10 minutes or until the corn is heated through and all the vegetables are tender
